Morgan Stanley Adds Again as Its Bitcoin ETF Builds a $50M Accumulation Streak

Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin ETF just kept a streak alive that’s now worth watching closely.

MSBT received another 51.58 BTC, worth roughly $4 million, from Coinbase Prime an hour before this data was captured, according to OnchainLens’s live tracking dashboard.

Over the past two weeks, the fund has pulled in 641.87 BTC, worth approximately $50.6 million, across eight separate transfers.

The Pattern Behind the Number

What stands out here is the consistency, not the size of any single transfer. Deposits landed roughly every one to three days: 83.1 BTC fourteen days ago, 120.35 BTC eleven days ago, 45.85 BTC ten days ago,

It followed with a run of four consecutive transfers between 94.5 and 94.6 BTC each over the following week, followed by 57.31 BTC and finally today’s 51.58 BTC.

That’s a steady drip rather than a single institutional lump-sum purchase, the kind of pattern that typically reflects ongoing advisor-driven demand rather than a one-time allocation decision.

Why the Cadence Matters More Than the Total

$50.6 million over two weeks is modest next to the billions moving through the largest Bitcoin ETFs on any given day.

But Techgaged tracked MSBT’s launch back in March, noting it became the first spot Bitcoin ETF issued by a major US bank when it debuted on NYSE Arca with a 0.14% fee, the lowest in its category.

A fund built to funnel demand from Morgan Stanley’s roughly 16,000 financial advisors and their clients is designed to grow this way, through small, recurring purchases compounding over months rather than headline-making single-day inflows.

Bitcoin’s Rough Two Weeks

BTC trades at $77,359.40 on September 12, 2026 (10:00 UTC), down 2.8% over seven days. The chart shows a genuinely difficult stretch.

Price peaked near $80,000 around September 6 and 7, then slid steadily down to $77,000 by September 8 through 11, with a brief spike to $79,000 on September 11 that faded just as quickly.

Techgaged tracked an even sharper version of this kind of drawdown earlier in the year, when Bitcoin cracked below $70,000 in early June as broader ETF demand weakened at the same time.

What to Watch Next

MSBT buying steadily through a two-week price decline, rather than pausing until conditions improved, is the detail worth tracking going forward.

If that accumulation pace holds or accelerates while Bitcoin stays under pressure, it would suggest Morgan Stanley’s advisor network is treating this dip as a buying opportunity rather than a reason to wait, a signal that would carry more weight than the dollar total itself.
