$1 Billion in SOL Bought in Less Than a Year — Bitwise Isn’t Slowing Down

$1 billion in SOL just got bought, and Bitwise did it in under a year. Total net flows now sit at $1.02 billion, according to Farside Investors’ daily ETF flow tracker. BSOL is the largest Solana ETF by a wide margin.

Techgaged previously flagged this fund’s early momentum back in August, tracking Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF pulling in $948 million in cumulative net inflows

How Fast This Milestone Came

BSOL launched on October 28, 2025. It reached $1 billion roughly ten months later. That’s the fastest any single Solana ETF has hit that mark.

The fund held about 9.33 million SOL as of August 26, worth $1.018 billion, according to BSOL’s official fund page

BSOL captures roughly 79% of all cumulative net flows into Solana ETF products. Fidelity and Grayscale’s competing funds trail far behind.

The On-Chain Activity Behind the Number

Arkham’s tracking shows the mechanics behind that growth. Fireblocks Custody wallets have fed hundreds of thousands of SOL into BSOL’s ETF address over the past week. One transfer alone moved 368,868 SOL, worth $38.83 million.

Coinbase Prime hot wallets contributed too, including a 103,000 SOL deposit worth $10.8 million.

A smaller outflow of 1,157 SOL, worth $119,310, moved from BSOL back to a Coinbase Prime deposit address, likely tied to routine redemption or rebalancing activity rather than a reversal in the broader trend.

What Makes This Inflow Unusual

Most of this money came in during a bear market. SOL traded roughly 60% below its all-time high for much of this stretch.

Bitwise’s own team called that pattern a sign of investor conviction. BSOL stakes 100% of its holdings, earning a 5.80% net reward rate on top of price exposure.

That yield component may be pulling in investors who’d otherwise wait for a clearer price recovery before buying in.

SOL’s Price Reflects the Momentum

Solana traded at $100.91 as of 11:45 UTC on September 3, 2026, up 0.46% on the week.

The weekly RSI Divergence Indicator reads 57.21, climbing out of a bullish divergence flagged near recent lows.

The MACD line sits at 5.24 against a signal line at -3.48, with the histogram building green after a stretch of red, a shift that lines up with the fund’s steady inflow streak.

Techgaged also tracked SOL’s broader recovery story last month, when the token’s inflation-cut vote coincided with a sharp rally off its summer lows.

What This Signals Going Forward

A fund pulling in $1 billion while its underlying asset sits well below its highs is a stronger signal than the same inflow during a rally.

It suggests real conviction, not momentum-chasing. If SOL keeps climbing from here, BSOL’s flow pace looks more likely to accelerate than slow down.
