Tokenized U.S. Treasuries continue to gain traction on public blockchains.
Data from RWA.xyz shows the category holding more than $15 billion in distributed value, reflecting growing demand for on-chain exposure to U.S. government debt.
Franklin Templeton Partners With HashKey
Franklin Templeton is expanding its Asian distribution through a partnership with HashKey Exchange.
The Hong Kong-licensed platform has added Franklin Templeton’s OnChain U.S. Government Liquidity Fund (grBENJI) to its Earn Channel.

The fund invests primarily in U.S. government money-market instruments, repurchase agreements and U.S. dollar cash assets.
It is available to eligible professional investors rather than the general Hong Kong public.
The launch gives eligible Asian digital-asset investors access to a tokenized traditional financial product through regulated blockchain infrastructure.
Franklin Templeton has indicated that it plans to deepen its relationship with HashKey and explore additional tokenized products across its broader network in Asia and other markets.
Institutional Demand Drives Growth
Franklin Templeton has been an early player in tokenized funds, with its OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund using blockchain infrastructure to record ownership and process transactions.
Tokenized Treasuries appeal to institutions because they combine familiar government securities with blockchain-based settlement and transfer capabilities.
The growing category already includes major products from BlackRock, Circle, Ondo and Franklin Templeton.

TechGaged has also examined BlackRock’s growing tokenization strategy, highlighting how major asset managers are increasingly moving traditional financial products onto blockchain networks.
What to Look Forward To
Franklin Templeton’s HashKey expansion adds another regulated distribution channel for tokenized government securities in Asia.
As more financial institutions enter the space, the next stage could bring greater liquidity, wider geographic distribution and more traditional assets moving on-chain.
The growth of tokenized Treasuries suggests that blockchain adoption in traditional finance is increasingly shifting from experimentation toward real-world institutional use.
