As it happens, the game, which many have described as ‘Star Wars meets XCOM,’ has brought together various XCOM veterans as part of the Bit Reactor development team, and they will give the official presentation this weekend at Star Wars Celebration Japan, the team said on April 14.

According to the announcement Bit Reactor worked with Respawn Entertainment (the creator of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor) and Lucasfilm Games, on the game that will see you “recruit an unconventional team of operatives and deploy them on missions unlike any other in the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars Zero Company!”

Indeed, the company has invited its fans to join it for more details following the panel it will host at Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19 at 4:30 PM JST (Japan Standard Time). In Eastern Standard Time, this would be 3:30 AM, so you might want to stay up (it’s Saturday anyway).

At the same time, Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, has indicated on its official Star Wars Zero Company web page that the newest game was “coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S,” covering the most popular platforms with one fell swoop.

Meanwhile, this has given Star Wars fans everywhere something to enjoy while we wait for the remake of the beloved Knights of the Old Republic franchise to finally come out, something that Bioware’s CCO Tim Willits has hinted recently is still in development.
