New Google Flights feature helps users save money on flights
Google Flights has launched a new feature that helps users save more money by making it easier to get flights with the lowest prices.
In an announcement on 16 October, the company said users can now find the cheapest flights and won’t have to pay extra if their goal is to pay the lowest fares.
Find the cheapest flights
Before now, Google Flights users got the best available offers on top of their search based on price and convenience. This unwittingly left out cheaper options available for those who don’t mind a little inconvenience.
To help users in this category, a new “Cheapest” tab has been added to Google Flights and users can enter their trip details to see more options with even lower prices, starting this week.
The feature will be available globally over the next two weeks wherever Google Flights is available.
With the new feature, travelers can plan their travel budgets adequately and avoid any extra costs depending on what they wish to achieve.
The feature is also widely adjustable with creative itineraries, like longer layovers, self-transfers or purchasing different legs of the trip through multiple airlines or booking sites. It puts the user in charge of deciding how much to spend on any journey they embark on.
Google’s other rollouts
Google has rolled out a number of other new products and features in 2024 to improve user experience across its platforms.
Similar to the new Google Flights feature, the company introduced an update to Google Shopping that uses AI to help users get the best offers tailored to their needs and to save them money on deals.
It also released the Android 15 update this week, and some Google Pixel users have already received the updates while others eagerly wait over the coming weeks.
