Fetch.ai Launches Autonomous AI-to-AI USDC Settlement
In Brief
- • Fetch.ai has launched the world’s first autonomous AI-to-AI USDC payment system.
- • The system, powered by the ASI:ONE platform, can also handle payments via Visa and FET.
- • Users maintain full control over the AI with transactions are fully permissioned and traceable.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving change in several industries and breaking new grounds in some. In crypto, it is just getting started with Fetch.ai launching the world’s first AI-to-AI autonomous USDC settlement.
The company announced on X that the AI agent-to-agent payment system allows personal AIs to complete payments autonomously on behalf of users even when they are asleep. The system enabled through the company’s proprietary agentic AI platform ASI:ONE powers payments by Visa, and FET, its native token as the second crypto asset, with more options to come.
Agent-to-Agent Payment Completes Dinner Reservations
Fetch.ai is one of the top AI companies focusing on blockchain technology. Its work has mainly focused on the fusion of AI with blockchain technology. Enabling the maximization of the two to improve human lives. Creating the world’s first agent-to-agent payment is one of its major achievements so far, and the technology has achieved a major task already.
Its first use case was in coming up with dinner plans, securing a reservation, and completing payments while the owners of the personal AIs were offline. Before now, personal AI only stopped at identifying opportunities while humans had to complete the reservations and payments, but not anymore.
Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai commenting on the milestone said:
“Agentic payments are the gateway to AI first economy. By enabling AIs to transact on our behalf, we’re creating a new era where intelligent agents execute, secure, and deliver real-world value without waiting for us to intervene. This fundamentally changes the way we interact with the world: AI can now act in real time, turning opportunities into experiences, purchases, and commitments, all while keeping users in control.”
When technology like this comes into view, the first question that comes to mind is that of safety. The company stressed that the technology is completely safe, because users allocate spending limits using trust mechanisms that maintain full control while allowing their AI to act when timing matters. Also, the AI has no access to users’ personal wallet or permanent card information, and every transaction is permissioned and fully traceable.
Many AI Use Cases coming Up
Fetch.ai focuses on agentic AI technology and has driven many breakthroughs, especially in the blockchain sector. However, the technology is also making a lot of difference in many other areas of human endeavor.
One of those is in gaming, where AI-driven GPUs are revolutionizing the way games are designed. AI has also been used to help amputees control bionic hands to improve their quality of life in recent discoveries.
