Rumble launching live streaming platform to rival YouTube
Video-sharing platform Rumble has launched a live streaming platform that is set to compete with YouTube.
In a press release on 14 March, the company said the new platform known as Rumble Live will support linear live streaming lineup for different programs, ensuring there is no break in transmission.
The platform is meant to be a destination for all things news, commentary, and entertainment, bringing together a wide range of content creators.
Reimagining video sharing
Rumble is taking a big leap with the launch of this new platform. By offering a format in which shows use the Rumble Raiding technology to follow one another and carry audiences seamlessly into the next show, they are reimagining the video sharing experience entirely.
Commenting, Rumble Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chris Pavlovski said:
“This is more proof that the content creator community at Rumble is the best place to be, because this new daily lineup will help everyone and be great programming for viewers. Creators in the lineup will build off each other’s audiences, and everyone on the platform will benefit by increased traffic across the board. Unlike the broadcast day on a television network, Rumble adheres to the principles of free speech and these are shows that people actually want to watch.”
Each show will also appear on the creators’ individual Rumble channels, allowing their followers access from there as well.
Already, the company says creators are dumping YouTube to stream exclusively on Rumble, showing wide acceptance of the idea. One of such content creators, Steve Crowder said:
“YouTube is dead. Rumble did it. And I couldn’t be happier. This is a seismic shift a decade in the making. Let the games begin.”
In addition to Rumble Live, the Rumble content lineup will continue to include popular shows and personalities such as Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dave Rubin, Kim Iversen, Glenn Greenwald, Hayley Caronia, Jimmy Dore, Redacted News, and Badlands among others.
According to the press release, the daytime lineup has been set, with the afternoon and evening programming to be announced soon.
