Insider hints Toyota to reveal three electrified SUVs in May 2025 – here’s what we know
An inside source has revealed that Toyota will be hosting a reveal in May 2025, during which time it intends to introduce three electrified SUVs.

The three SUVs, according to the source, are the 2026 RAV4 which is said to be going all hybrid, the Highlander EV, and the upcoming C-HR which is reportedly returning to North America.
Building on the bZ concept
The most interesting detail about this upcoming release is the next-generation C-HR for North America. It is rumored that the SUV will be based on the bZ Compact SUV concept, entirely battery-electric, and with standard All-Wheel-Drive and over 300 miles of range.
Toyota unveiled the bZ Compact SUV Concept at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show at the LA Convention Center, where the company revealed what the future could be like with the Toyota bZ Compact SUV.

The concept was designed as a full battery-electric vehicle, using a clean-vital design approach that aims to express the strengths of battery electric vehicles without compromising enjoyable driving and high performance.
Vehicles built after this concept have zero emissions and the interior is built using eco-conscious materials that also bring dynamic performance and style.
Therefore, the C-HR is expected to combine environmental friendliness, style, comfort and performance. According to the insider, the Highlander will also be built after the bZ concept, specifically bZ5x.
Going electric
Automakers are transitioning to electric vehicles at an unprecedented rate. This is driven by concern for the environment, but also in a bid to stay competitive in the EV revolution.
Toyota has been moving in a similar direction, and the coming reveal of electrified SUVs is another major step towards attaining more electric production.
With such transitions, the company is determined to stay ahead of competition in the SUV market as consumers seem excited about it.
