Mercedes-Maybach expands portfolio with new convertible model

The Mercedes-Maybach has expanded its product portfolio by introducing a new sporty and elegant convertible model. 

Announced on 13 May, the Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series is the fourth model and the sportiest in the portfolio of Maybachs so far.

Cruising in open air

The Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series while carrying the same energy and spirit that characterizes the Maybach models, also gives a touch of open air experience with its convertible design.

It is a compact two-seater with the skilled craftsmanship, high-quality materials and exquisite design details that the Mercedes Maybach is known for. 

Commenting, Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes‑Maybach, Mercedes‑Benz Group AG said:

“We want to surprise, inspire and excite our customers. With the Mercedes‑Maybach SL Monogram Series, we’re offering them the sportiest and most extravagant model we’ve ever created. It’s a true Maybach for the ultimate in open-air-motoring enjoyment.”

The model has two design concepts, namely the  “White Ambience” and the “Red Ambience,” which has been developed for the first time for the new Mercedes‑Maybach two-seater. In addition to this, the car is available in more than 50 other MANUFAKTUR paint colours available on request. 

As a sporty model, the exterior is exquisitely designed like any sports car, without losing the unique essence of the Mercedes-Maybach. 

Notably, the car is the first Maybach model in which the brand-specific, chrome-finished radiator grille, with its fine vertical slats, has an A-shape contour, and has tail lights featuring the Maybach logo.

Incredible power

In addition to the extraordinary design, the new model also has incredible power to go with it. It is powered by an 8-cylinder engine that enables it to accelerate from 0-100 in just 4.1 seconds. 

The car also has a Fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with a top speed of 260 km/h. It also comes with extra comfort features including a leather jacket, sneakers, a scarf, a shopper bag and a dog carrier.
