Lexus IS
Luxury car maker Lexus has premiered its latest IS model with “Refinement in performance and design” in two variants.
In a press release on 9 September, the company said the new model will go on sale in various markets starting in early 2026.
The two variants are the IS 300h and IS 350, designed to improve interaction between the driver and the cars, as well as offer a sportier look.
Improving driving experience
Lexus IS first debuted in 1999, and has evolved since then to make driving more engaging and have a sportier look.
The model has over the years recorded a cumulative sale of approximately 1.3 million units across 40 countries and regions, and continues to resonate with drivers around the world for more than 25 years.
This model boasts a better driving experience with a refined steering feel and vehicle stability. It also uses a variable gear ratio to reduce steering angle at intersections and through successive corners, improving steering feel.
The exterior now has a new front design that accentuates the IS’s low center of gravity and wide stance, giving it a more aggressive, sporty look.
Additionally, the “F SPORT” model adds to this dynamic appeal with a newly designed rear spoiler that improves aerodynamic performance.
On the interior, the designers focused on functionality to create an environment that keeps the driver fully engaged with the road.
It also has a larger center display of 12.3 inches, as well as advanced driver support technology known as Advanced Drive’, and expanded features in the Lexus Safety System.
Lexus in May this year released hints of the next-gen all-new electric Lexus ES luxury sedan with PHEV and EV tech. Toyota described the new car as a global flagship model with refined electrification, comfort and a quiet ride.
