“We believe the best way to make our models stronger and more secure is to partner with the broader community. By opening up Nova to external testing, we’re reinforcing our commitment to safety, transparency, and continuous improvement.”

Researchers will test the Nova models in critical areas including cybersecurity issues and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threat detection, with rewards ranging from $200 to $25,000.

Amazon Taking AI More Seriously

As the race towards AI heats up, Amazon seems to be taking strategic steps to stay ahead, especially by ensuring that models are highly secure.

Nova models power key Amazon services such as Alexa, AWS customers through Amazon Bedrock, and other Amazon products, hence the need for security.

The company has just released an AI service that translates Kindle books into several languages automatically, which also uses Nova AI models.
