TikTok ignores reports of racism but suspends people for recommending a candy
TikTok has been accused of ignoring reports of racism on its platform but suspending another account for recommending a candy.

One Redditor in the TikTok subreddit on 4 March revealed how they reported a profile for racism and profanity but the platform did not act on the case.
Instead, it simply said there were no violations found.and referred him to court if he felt unsatisfied with the feedback.
An unusual case
TikTok has been strange since it was restored after the ban in the U.S. by the Joe Biden administration.
Like most social platforms these days, it has taken its moderation to a different level with accounts getting suspensions for the smallest of reasons.

It is therefore strange that the same platform would ignore allegations of racism on its platform, claiming there were no violations detected. Other users confirmed similar and even worse cases.
“Same thing happened for multiple child undressed videos on there as well as some adult ones. Someone I was following has gotten told about the videos and to help report them and made a video about it as well. Myself and many others reported them but nothing was found wrong.”
The user added that some of the content reported had highly graphic explicit videos with some being clearly children under the age of ten.
Instead, another account got suspended for recommending a candy on the same day, which brings to question how the algorithm determines what constitutes a violation.
Is TikTok violating laws?
If TikTok is ignoring such cases of inappropriate content on its platform, it may be violating laws concerning its use by minors.
This is why the UK has launched an investigation into its use of data for users between the age of 13 and 17.
